WADR the Big East really set the standard for poor treatment


West Virginia and Rutgers didn't seem to mind throwing Virginia Tech to the wolves when they were offered full membership in the Big East in 1995. Then once Tech finally was admitted for all sports in 2000 we had to pay exorbitant entry fees and forego a full portion of revenue sharing. And when things started to get real in 2003, no other Big East AD was willing to join ours in a commitment to stay together and keep that conference intact.

For as much as the ACC didn't really want us, Virginia Tech has never experienced negative behavior of the type we endured in the Big East and neither have any other members who have joined since.
